Mystery Reader

Today we had Matthew's grandmother "Busha" visit to read to our class. She read the book, Fish Tales, written by her friend Debbie Jones. She also read, "A Valentine for Adele". The illustrator, Mike Symanski, is Mathew's cousin.  Thank you for the yummy cookies!

Scientist of the Week!

Today, Bren was the Scientist of the Week for X Week!

He got to show us how a Water Xylophone works.

We figured out that the sound of the glass changes when there are different levels of water in each cup! Take a look.

Great job Bren!

International Week

Scientist of the Week!

Keegan is our Scientist of the Week!

He showed us how eggs behave differently in different types of water! One glass had tap water and the other had salt water. Guess what? The egg sank in the tap water and floated in the salt water!

When the salt water and tap water we combined, the egg only dipped to the middle of the glass, neither
sinking nor floating!
Great job Keegan!

Mystery Reader

Aunt Julie came to Pilot B today as our Mystery Reader! She read the very popular "Purplicious" story and "Pirates Don't Change Diapers". Thank you Aunt Julie!

Chinese New Year

Gung Hay Fat Choy!

Today we celebrated Chinese New Year.  We made Chinese dragons, ate fortune cookies, read a story, and watched an amazing performance by Chinese acrobats.  We learned that Chinese New Year is celebrated for fifteen days and that the color RED represents happiness.
