Holiday Party
Party Time!
Today we had our holiday party in Pilot B. We made a fun door hanger craft and had a yummy snack. The highlight of the party was exchanging holiday cards. It was so delightful to hear the students ise their manners and thank each other as they opened the cards.

Scientist of the Week
Emma is our Scientist of the Week!
For "L" Week, Emma demonstrated the experiment, "Liquid Layers".
Different liquids have different weight! Some are heavy, like maple syrup at the bottom of the glass and some are light like the rubbing alcohol at the top!

Today we celebrated Duncan's 5th Birthday in Pilot B!
Duncan brought in some of his favorite items to share:
And some yummy birthday treats!

Scientist of the Week
Kooky Colors
Tavi was our Scientist of the Week for K week. Her job was to see which colors moved faster when dipped into water. We saw that different colors travel at different speeds up the paper. We learned that this is called chromatography. Some colors are made up of multiple colors!
Great job Tavi!

A Special Visit from 6th Age
Today a friend from 6th Age came to talk to the Pilots about Hanukkah. He told us about the eight nights of celebration, the lighting of the Menorah, dreidel games and Jewish food like latkes and challa bread. Our Pilots asked some very good questions and were a great audience for our guest.
Afterwards, Pilot B got to play with dreidels. We learned the meaning of Gimmel, Shin, Hay and Nun.
