Leprechaun Mischief

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Today we saw mischief of all kind when we arrived in our classroom.  There was gold glitter sprinkled everywhere and coins galore.  Our classroom was absolutely destroyed!  The only thing we could think was that a leprechaun came to look for some gold.  He left his tiny footprints as a clue and we saw he escaped through the window.  We'll try to catch him next year!

Scientist of the Week!

Today, Mackenzie is our Scientist of the Week

For "Q" Week, Mackenzie performs the Quarter Vanishing Act!
When the glass was placed over the quarter, we could see it at the bottom. But once water filled up the glass, the quarter vanished!
Now you see it . . . now you don't! Tadaa!

Happy Pi Day!

3/14 is Pi Day π
We celebrated by talking about circles. We made bears out of only circle shapes.

And we got to eat PIE!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Today we celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday.  We traced and cut out Cat in the Hat hats.  We read the story, Horton Hears A Who and practiced number writing in Math.  In Language Arts we watched Justin Bieber read The Cat In The Hat.  We practiced writing alphabet letters in order and wrote -at words.  We loved rhyming with Dr. Seuss!

Dr. Trusty Comes To Read

Today Dr. Trusty came to Pilot B as our Mystery Reader.  He read the book, "It's Hard to Be Five" by Jamie Lee Curtis.  So many in our class are turing five years old- it was so appropriate!
